Narrative Text Gurus

This is one of those very niche lessons, that I created for my Year 7s and wanted to share! Introducing Narrative Text Gurus. You can use this for any year level that would be examining Narrative Texts.

🖥️ How to play!

  1. Once you've watched some type of narrative (i.e. an episode of Bluey, Disney short film). Provide students the link to this activity. 

  2. Students access this link and start filling out the boxes as they go. 

  3. Students can get support from inbuilt AI and also work to earn some achievements.

💡Teacher tips!

  1. Encourage students to earn those achievements. This activity works really well as one of the achievements is 'writing 400 words'. For some of your highflyers, this might help push them. 

  2. I created this activity for my Year 7s and they were totally engaged, so highly recommend using this activity. You could adapt it for lower year levels - totally up to you!

  • Time: Whole Lesson.

  • Open the activity and then copy the link and give to students. No signups needed! 

  • Encourage students to export their work as a .pdf.
