MindSurge is an engaging brainstorming platform where students can share their ideas, sketches and collaborate in real time!

🖥️ How to Use!

  1. Firstly, head over to the Teacher Dashboard and enter your name and click 'Host Session'. This will generate a lobby code that you can share with your students. 

  2. Ensure you update the prompt before you get students to join. 

  3. Once you're ready, get students to join. And the Surge begins! Students can add posts by pressing the + button on their screen. 

  4. Students can create posts and respond to your prompts. Great for a whole class discussion, reflection or anything you see working for this activity. 

  5. Once you're finished with the activity, just hit the 'export .pdf' button and it will generate a clean document capturing everything your students have written. 

💡Teacher tips!

  1. You've got the power! If you need to, you can lock specific students or all students from posting. 

  2. There are options for students to upload images and draw (great for capturing more than just the written language). However, you can lock these,. Just tap the icon on your teacher dashboard. 

  3. Need to send a message to the students computers - just hit the broadcast button.​

  4. You can also get students to react to their peers post. 

🎬 Setup tips!

  • Time: 20-30 minutes.

  • Remember, you have loads of controls to ensure students are actively engaging with the activity - use them!

  • ​If you need to, you can update the prompts as the session is going.
