🖥️ How to play!
-
As the teacher you will need to set the Master Prompt (e.g., a story starter, a persuasive claim, or a business pain point). Once this is done, you will see a 4-digit PIN for students to join.
-
Students join on their devices using the PIN and a display name. They enter a "Waiting Room" until you're ready.
-
Once you hit start, every student begins writing the first segment of their project.
-
Here comes the fun party! When you and you're students are ready, hit 'rotate'. This will now rotate students work around the classroom. Students can see the build history and what others have written.
-
After several rounds, you can hit Finish. The complete, multi-authored project returns to the student who started it. They can then view the full journey and export it as a PDF.
💡Teacher tips!
-
You have the power to edit the Master Prompt while the activity is live.
-
Use the Lock Screens button when you need to provide verbal instructions or highlight a specific student's work on the projector. It stops all typing and forces students to look up, ensuring you never have to compete with their keyboards.
-
English: Narrative relay (Setting -> Problem -> Climax -> Resolution).
-
HASS/History: Constructing a historical argument (Claim -> Evidence -> Analysis -> Link).
-
Business: Innovation layering (Pain Point -> Solution -> SWOT Analysis -> Pivot Strategy).
-
Science: Building a methodology or analysing experimental results.
🎬 Setup tips!
-
Time: 30–40 minutes.
-
Display the Teacher Version of the app on your main screen. This keeps the 4-digit PIN visible for late-joiners and shows the live Round Clock and Class Monitor.
-
Ensure students are on a stable connection. If a student drops out, they can simply refresh and use the Resume Lobby button on their hub to jump right back in without losing their total word count.
